  34.        This section lists the subsystems (and their sizes) of the
  35.        ToolTalk option.

  37.        When you install this option for the first time, the
  38.        subsystems marked "default" are the ones installed
  39.        automatically if you use the ``go'' menu item.  To install a
  40.        different set of subsystems, use the ``install,''
  41.        ``remove,'' ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  42.        customize the list of subsystems to be installed, then
  43.        select the ``go'' menu item.

  45.        Note:  The listed subsystem sizes are approximate. Refer to
  46.               the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for information

  81.        IRIX.  You do not need to use the miniroot. Refer to the
  82.        _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation

  85.        2.4  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s

  87.        You must be running IRIX 5.3 to use Version 1.4 of this
  88.        product.

  90.        The following prerequisites external to ToolTalk apply to
  91.        the _t_o_o_l_t_a_l_k__d_e_v._s_w._d_e_v subsystem:

  93.           +o You must have installed the IRIS Development Option
  94.             (_d_e_v).

  96.           +o If you are developing ToolTalk applications that use X
  97.             and Motif, you must have installed the X11 Execution
  98.             Environment mentioned above, the X11 Development
  99.             Environment (_x__d_e_v._s_w), the Motif Execution-Only
  100.             Environment (_m_o_t_i_f__e_o_e),  and the Motif Development
  101.             System (_m_o_t_i_f__d_e_v).
  102.        Within ToolTalk, the following prerequisites apply:

  105.             _t_o_o_l_t_a_l_k__d_e_v._s_w._l_i_n_k_s.

  116.        ToolTalk uses an installation architecture that makes it
  117.        easy to relocate the bulk of the installed files to
  118.        directories that have extra space.  All the ToolTalk files
  119.        are installed under the directory /_u_s_r/_T_o_o_l_T_a_l_k, then those
  120.        files are linked back to the appropriate spots under /_u_s_r.

  138.        auxiliary disk and link them back to /_u_s_r automatically.

  146.        These commands link the /_u_s_r/_T_o_o_l_T_a_l_k directory to the
  147.        /_d_i_s_k_3 disk, where there is enough space to hold the tools.

  149.        _t_o_o_l_t_a_l_k__d_e_v._s_w._l_i_n_k_s subsystem and _t_o_o_l_t_a_l_k__d_e_v._m_a_n._l_i_n_k_s

  153.        file server and have users mount the software from there,
